DNA in Darwinbots 3 is very similar to DNA in Darwinbots 2, however, it has some major improvements, as well as some subtle changes.
- Variables are not preceded by a dot like they were in DB2.
- A single Value, Command, Memory-Location, or Boolean-Operator, is now called a Base Pair.
- Rather than different Genes, Base Pairs are grouped into one or more Codules.
- An added level of encapsulation is available, called a Chromosome, which contains at least one Codule.
